But, it isn't too late. Thanks to the beauty of a couple of stamp sets we have.

Are they not the cutest little things?

When school started, I (along with my mom's help) made these little boxes for the teachers at school. They were impressed. Hopefully, they earned my kids some brownie points. Heehee.

Like I said above, even though I am just showing you now, you can still take this idea and go forward with it. We have two beautiful stamp sets to help you!

The first is in the "Big" catalog, the 2011-2012 Stampin' Up! Idea Book and Catalog.

The stamp set is It's a Wrap Occasions.

The second set is from the 2011 Holiday Mini Catalog. It is called It's a Wrap Holidays.

Both of these stamp sets fit on a regular label. The address label Avery 5160. So, you stamp away on these labels. Next, you wrap the label around a Hershey Nugget. Drop them into a Matchbox (made from the Matchbox die) and you have a gift everyone will LOVE!!

Neat use of the Top Note Die

Have you ever wanted a square out of the top note die? If so, there is a way.

Here is the top note piece cut the first time:

Then, turn the piece sideways (vertical) and run it through again.

And, then you have this. Yeah!!

Gail Oneill created this one and had a good time creating it – I know because it shows!

How do you come up with this color palette you ask?

Pretty easy. Pick out a pack of patterned paper and go to town.

The pack of paper is Spice Cake from the Holiday Mini Catalog.

And, the colors in there lead to the card above: Soft Suede, More Mustard, Pool Party,

Pear Pizzazz, River Rock, Very Vanilla.

I think the color that really makes the palette pop is the Pool Party – that is the blue color. Doesn't that just really make the card? Pair it with the More Mustard and you have a STUNNING card!

Buy up the pearls before I use them all!

I told you I would be back with a card that uses a ton of pearls. What do you think? I think it is absolutely gorgous. Need to do this card up in all white I think. Hmm….need someone special to get married.

This card is a lot like yesterdays card. I added in a stamp set. Love and Caring comes from the stamp set Thanks for caring. The "framish" gadget comes from Baby Blossoms.

How did I get the idea to put all pearls on that frame? Well, when you stamp the frame there are all kind of tiny little dots in the background – right where all the pearls are (see picture above of the stamp set). It was fun putting down a pearl where the dots are. Yesterday's hint: using your paper snips blade to pick the pearls off the sheet and put onto your card. Way easy!!

Thanks For Caring

You know the past few days I have been loving that little girl from the Easter Blossoms stamp set. I also love the Springtime Vintage paper. I like the big, bold flowers on this print. If I put that little girl on this paper, there would not be anything left of the flowers. So, I switched it up a bit and headed for another stamp set.

Out came Thanks for Caring. Also love that set. And, it too goes GREAT with the paper. When I make a sympathy card I like to use soft colors. I think that is the way it needs to be.

Here is a snippit of the Springtime Vintage Paper.

I hope you like the look at the layout of the card.

I used the Tastefully Trim die for the scallop edge. This die was available in the Holiday Mini Catalog. It is now available as a "carry over" item. You can view all carry over items here.

I then also folded some baja breeze seam binding. You can hardly see it, but there are little pearls on the "scrollies" of the "with deepest sympathy" and these tie in nicely with the pearls on the scallops. I just pick my pearls off of the sheet (the pearls are sticky on the back side) with one of the blades of my paper snips and put the pearls right on my card. Way easy!!

Make sure you come back tomorrow. I will show you how I used just about a whole sheet of the pearls on one card. Yikes!! It is the $20 card. Heehee.

Beautiful Blue Gal :-)

Not blue as in sad. Blue as in paper, inks, and accessories.

I have already told you I love this little gal. I don't send a lot of spring cards, but maybe because I haven't ever had the right set? This year I sure do.

If you have been watching my blog and seeing all of the other little girls, a few things are in common. I have been using the seam binding from the Occasions Mini catalog. The seam binding is amazing. If you like bows on your cards, but you are afraid of them because of the bulk, have no more fear. Seam binding is very easy to work with and way so soft. You will not be disappointed if you get it in all of the available colors.

Another similarity? The rosettes. These are so pretty.

I hope you have enjoyed these cards so far. The Occasions Mini Catalog is so packed with fun stuff!!

A Patterned Little Girl

You know, sometimes you take a look at a stamp set. You think, that is a cute set. And, then you go on with life. Other times, you add the set to your order "just in case." That is the case with this stamp set. As you can see, I have totally fallen in love with her.

Stampin' Up! has helped me fall in love. The products in the Occasions Mini Catalog work so well together!!

The colors that are in the Springtime Vintage paper are how I started this card. Here is the paper that I choose for my background.
