In Colors Retiring

The GREAT eSCAPE!

Well, the big day was over. A whole lot of cards were made! I love that!! I will post more on that at another time.

I had 6 prizes – stamp sets, cards, etc.

New Product Line

Stampin' Up! made a huge announcement today! We have a new product line – vinyl images and letters for Home Décor. The line is called Décor Elements. I am so excited. These are SO popular right now!

So, we have three product lines:

What an AWESOME opportunity – for demonstrators and customers alike.

My Babe!!

I know, I don't usually blog about personal stuff, but who can resist this little face? Actually, it isn't all personal. Being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator and being able to work from home has been a blessing. This is the first little person of mine that I have watched grow up more of the days during the week then daycare does. You too can have the freedom to work your job when it works for you. As always, contact me with questions!!

Devon is CRAZY, CRAZY!! But, that is OK (most days). I threaten to sell him, but all in fun! This picture was just taken the other day. He is 16 months old – and as his face shows – he LOVES ice cream!

Bermuda, Day 2, March 29

Saturday – the day to get on the ship.

Last year when we went on the Stampin' Up! cruise to Panama, we met Barb and her husband Mike. They are from Wyoming. We had such a good time. So, we planned to meet up with them this year again. We had pre-bought tickets to the Empire State Building and hoped to go there on Day 1, March 28. It took them 20 hours to get from Billings, Montana to New York City. That wasn't the way it was supposed to be! So, needless to say, we waited until Saturday morning to head to the ESB. We left our hotel a little before 8:00. That was a good thing – no lines at that time of the day!! We took a cab and got there quickly.

That is something to see!! We did an audio tour as well. We learned a lot of things. The building was built in 14 months. Usually, on a big building, they figure one death per story. The Empire State building is 104 stories high (if I remember that correctly), but they only lost 4 men! One of them died because he was looking down the elevator shoot to see when it was coming up – guess what – it got him!

This is a picture from the top of the Empire State Building. You can see the Statue of Liberty off in the distance in the center. That is Ellis Island there too.

This picture was taken from the ship. We got on the ship around 3:00 I think. We sailed somewhere around 5:30. We went right past the statue. Pretty neat. It was very cold in NYC that day. Could have used my parka!!

This was our first pillow gift from Stampin' Up! I think we got something every day!! They are so good to us!! The experiences I have had with Stampin' Up! are ones that I cannot recreate – and they aren't ones I would have done had I not been a demonstrator for Stampin' Up! Bermuda, Day 1, Friday, March 28

Going to Bermuda, Day 1

Day 1 was Friday, March 28. We flew out of Sioux Falls to New York City. Our ship was to leave on Saturday, the 29^th. We wanted to fly in a day early so we didn't have to risk missing the boat.

We had good flying, etc. and got into New York at a decent time. Our hotel was right in the hub of everything!! Nice. We did some walking that day and took a few pictures. I applaud people that live there – I could not do it!!

 

The buildboards are just amazing!! All electronic. And, one right after another. Really neat to see up close.

Here is another one. These are huge – many, many stories high. You can see on the one above, that it is built right on a building and you can see the windows of each story.

There is a huge m & m store there – with every color that you need – at a price of $10 a pound. You know how much that would cost. Didn't buy anything.

Here is a picture at night. There are bicycle taxis around. So, we took one of those at night to a little local place. Had a good time just walking and looking at all the lights and people.
