Here is any easy card to make. Using the scoring tool, make a grid pattern every ½" inch. Stamp and sponge over top. Nice look, huh? Faux tile is what it is called.
I used the gorgeous Gently Falling stamp set.
The Happy Birthday saying comes from the set Happiest Birthday Wishes.
Have you used that seam binding yet? I like how the bow looks. And, really the easiest ribbon we have for that is the Seam Binding. It is really soft and thin.

But, they don't match. Hehheh. I bet there is another pair around just like them.
Gail Oneill created this card. She did a great job using that punch and all there is to it.
How to create those stockings?
You will see that the punch is made up of different pieces. So, punching the top of the stocking, the heel, and the toe pieces are relatively simple. Way cute!!
Also used in creating the stockings was pattnered paper. Can you imagine how far twelve sheets of patterned paper goes when you just use a little for accents here and there?
Frostwood Lodge is the patterned paper used. As I have said before, a lot of times the colors in the pattern paper drive the color palette of a card. In this case, they were tweaked just a touch.

I think I have discussed in the past that I am part of some trading groups. Some are demonstrators, some are friends. This card was made by a friend, Dianne. Isn't it cool? I don't know all the colors, stamp sets, and details. But, here is one thing I know. Look at those deer. Way cool!
Here is what I think she did. Stamped the deer on a piece of whisper white cardstock. Then, she crumpled up tissue paper. Then, make the whole piece of whisper white cardstock sticky with a glue stick. Un-wrinkle the tissue paper a bit and pat it down onto the sticky cardstock. Thoughts? Cool, I think. Then, she stamped the Happy Birthday on the top of all the layers.
Assemble card and you are good to go.
Some are going to ask dimensions. On a card like this they are easy. Just go down by ¼" inch.
So, the main card is 8 ½ x 5 ½. Once you fold that in half, you have 5 ½ x 4 ¼.
The crumb cake layer is 4 x 5 ¼.
The ruby red layer is 3 ¾ x 5.
The whisper white layer is 3 ½ x 4 ¾.

I think grays and pinks are my mom's favorite colors. She uses them a lot. And, she always makes them look good!!

If you were at my open house in October, you saw some beautiful cards made by my mother-in-law. I think she stamps in her sleep. Heehee.
She has made a TON of beautiful cards using two stamp sets mainly – Delicate Doily and Field Flowers. If these cards don't make you fall in love…..
The Hello, Doily stamp set is as big as the front of a card, roughly. So, 5 ½ x 4 ¼. It is round so that makes sizing the stamp a bit difficult.
Here is the stamp set Field Flowers. Quite honestly, when I looked at it in the catalog I did not see its potential. My mother-in-law has unleashed its potential. Heehee.
Here are a few. I will share more as the weeks go along. Note: I do not know all of the colors she has used. I know she told me she has used some amazing, unseemingly, unique colors. Colors you wouldn't think of putting together are gorgeous. Her hint: try anything once!

I have been having fun with the Owl Punch. He is so easy to use if you get out your patterned paper as well.
One punch and you get all of those pieces. Yeah. If you are looking for a way to work with a fun punch and get some "free" circles, this is a punch for you.
I also got out some cool Designer Series Paper, Just Add Cake.
The only other thing I added? Well, yes, a little cardstock and some ink (chocolate chip and whisper white). The stamp set is a GREAT value!!
This set is only $15 in Clear Amount. Excellent value!! You need to have a party (or minimum order of $150) and you can get this set with your hostess dollars. How cool is that! I have been using a TON of these stamp on my birthday cards.
Here is another rendition of the card. Just swap out the patterned paper. Notice, the owl is different as well.
Here is another hint. Before putting the card together, punch out a quick owl. Then, you aren't "wasting" any of the patterned paper.
Another great reason to use our pattnered paper? You have two patterns to each sheet, one on each side. Nice! Makes a lot of different owls.

Again, we are using the Field Flowers stamp set. I just love how you can take the stamp set and use it in so many ways for so many different occasions? It truly is a set that is a MUST HAVE.
