Saturday was finally a nice day around here. So, we headed to Sioux Falls from Canton, South Dakota to take in the big park. Sioux Falls has a nice park called Sertoma Park. Actually, they have a LOT of nice parks. Sertoma is nice because it has a lot of different play areas for different age groups. But, wouldn't you know it – Devon didn't want to play anyway. He wanted to walk.
Here is a card and a scrapbook page. The card idea comes from the Stampin' Success magazine that we as demos receive. I talked more about it in this post from a few days ago.
I thought it was a neat and easy card to make. Get out some punches and punch away. I used various circle punches and patterned paper. The patterned paper came from the current mini catalog. You can view it by going to www.stampinsandy.com. There is a link for it on the right hand side. Real red, only orange, old olive are the colors. I think I used the circle punches – 1 3/8", 1 ¼", and the ¾" punches. I used some dimensional on the flower images. I also used the 1/8" hole punch and punched through the front of the card to wrap around the old olive ribbon. The ribbon too is from the mini catalog. I think it is an easy card that can be used for many occasions. I picked the colors from the patterned paper. So, if you have other patterned paper around – change the colors of the card to match the colors in the paper.
Here is a scrapbook spread that I made using the same stuff in the card. This is my Devvie. The pics were taken at the park. The pages are 12 x 12. As you can see, he is the light of our world. I cannot imagine life without him. I don't think the big kids could either. These pictures are just so "him". Enjoy these!!
Stop by my house this Friday from 5 to 8 PM or Saturday from 8 AM to noon. I am having a rummage sale. Everything that has retired from SU! that I have is on the rummage sale! I also have some finished cards and such for sale. Can't wait to see you!! E-mail me at sandy@stampinsandy.com for directions.
