Directions:
Part 1 – cutting the cardstock
- Sizing your cardstock for the base of your card. In this case of the first card, it is Baja Blue. You will cut your cardstock to be 5 ½" by 11". Score it at 4 ¼" and 8 ½" inches. See figure.
- You will fold the 4 ¼" piece (the top piece on the picture above) down. You will fold the 2 ½" piece up (last piece in the picture). Tuck the 2 ½" piece in your card. This is what will make the flap to hold the picture. See the card for illustration.
Part 2 – creating the tree
- Cut a piece of paper for the tree to 2 ½ x 3 ¾.
- Stamp tree using Craft ink. (you must use craft ink because it stays wet enough for the powder to adhere to it)
- Sprinkle on heat and stick powder. Shake off access.
- Heat with heat gun until it is melted.
- Shake on dazzling diamonds glitter.
- Shake off access.
- Heat just a bit to "set" the glitter.
- Adhere the tree piece to a piece of cardstock measuring 2 ¾ x 4. See picture for colors.
Part 3 – creating the tag.
- Cut a piece of whisper white cardstock 1" x 3".
- Punch the corner with corner punch.
This is the punch, right side up.
You will be using the punch upside down.
You will feed your paper into the right-hand corner punch.
Continue feeding until you get to the center crossbar.
This is what you have when you are finished.
Stamp your tag.
Step 4. – Stamping.
- Using the grouping of trees, stamp them on the front of the card using VersaMark ink.
- Add the Christmas saying to the inside of your card using Chocolate Chip classic ink.
Part 5: Assembly.
- On the flap that comes up to put in the picture, put one glue dot on each corner.
- Add the ribbon around the front of the card. You will need about 15" to do this. Tie in a knot in the front.
- Add the tree image. I added this by putting 4 stampin' dimensional on it.
- Add the Merry Christmas strip. I stuck the left-hand side down with SNAIL adhesive. On the right-hand side, I used a dimensional.
