All the guests that came (and the ones that could not, but did order) were able to make this little matchbox. It was great listening to the gals and their ideas of what else they could do with this die – most of them thought of other fun things to put inside and also other holidays they would like to use the matchbox for.
Isn't that just fun? Can't you think of a lot of people who would like to receive that? Stocking Stuffers? Gifts for coworkers. The list goes on and on.
I have put a video together showing you how to make this little box. (If you are reading this in a reader, head on over to my blog to get the video).
Ingredients:
Stamp Set: none
Cardstock: Very Vanilla, Real Red, Old Olive, Merry Moments Designer Series Paper
Ink: none
Extras: Big Shot, Matchbox Die, Merry Embosslit, Chocolate Grosgrain Ribbon
I hope you are ready for the weekend. I know I am. I am ready to sleep in J. We are having gorgeous weather here. Maybe even a bit warm. It has been in the 80s all week and no rain. I could live with this every day, all year! I know, I know. It will never happen in Canton, South Dakota. Hawaii, maybe? Anywhere else in the United States?
This is the first project that I am going to show you. Tomorrow there will be another one J. Make sure you come back!
What did the gals like about making this project? How easy it is to use the new Shimmer Paint from the Holiday Mini catalog.
You can watch this video on how I did the shimmer paint.
I LOVE doing events such as an Open House for my customers. I do feel bad that my long distance customers cannot participate. So, a couple of workaround I have for that are this. First, I record a video of what went on. That way, you too can learn about the products just as if you were here. Just shoot me an e-mail if you have questions on any of the things that are presented. Second, for all my long distance customers placing orders that coincide with the event, I send them the finished projects. In this case, I will be sending the card above and the project that I present tomorrow. So, it is a win win for everyone!
Products Used:
Wheel: Bright Blessings
Cardstock: Taken with Teal, Very Vanilla, Autumn Meadows Designer Series Paper
Ink: Taken with Teal
Extras: Slit Punch, Chocolate Chip Grosgrain Ribbon, Big Shot, Top Note Die, Large Handle
Happy Friday… And, another week has sped right on by J. Yikes!
Well, I did a little teaser for you yesterday. Here is the card that I showed a bit of today's card. I hope you are back to see the rest J.
I had a ton of fun creating this card. As you can tell, I "fed" off of this card that I had made the other day. And, that card was a feed off of one on page 51 in the Stampin' Up! Catalog.
To see all the details, head on over to the video. Details are there. Things in the video:
The card from the other day I used the Circle Scissors Plus to create the circle. Today, I used the Big Shot. Either way works – it is more in what you own. The reason I went to the Big Shot this time was because I can cut a "whole" bunch of circles at one time. I think I did 6 this time. If I used the Circle Scissors Plus I can only cut one at a time. And, I was going to make 31 of these cards!

I have a video on how to use the Big Shot with the clear die here.
How is your week going? I am not sure, but this whole week I think it is a day ahead of what it really is. So, thought it should be Friday.
The kids are off to a couple of days worth of camps. I have to bring them and get them everyday. But, whatever I can do to keep them busy. Man, are they ready for school. We did school shopping this week and Allison would start tomorrow if she could.
My teaser is this video. Tomorrow I have a new video and the details of the card. For today, a video on how to use a clear bigz die with the Big shot. More than anything, it is an awareness thing. If you do not have any clear dies, it is probably because you don't really know we have them. Now you know :-)
Well, you know last week, the special with the hodge podge hardware came out. And, I went gaga over that. I guess it was a challenge meant for me.
So, this week I thought I would do some of the same. I have a card for you. about 10 times. But, it is the same card. I keep messing up. And, now the latest video that I shot kills my video program every time. I am NOT sure what is up with that. But, I wash my hands of this card. I am not doing another video of the card. I think me and the card are jinxed! So, I'll have to video a different card.
But, I do have a video for you. You can watch it. Laugh at my mess up if you must J. I was trying to say Circle Scissors Plus and all I could get out was Circle Circus. I could have re-recorded it, but I think it is fine. And, we are human, right?????
On to the card.
I hope you like it. I looked at the Simply Said set in the catalog, I think page 51. There was a card in there similar to this. Different colors. So, I chose my colors based on the Razzleberry Lemonade Paper. And, knew I had to incorporate the Heart to Heart Punch.
Extras: Pumpkin Pie grosgrain ribbon, heart to heart punch, scallop circle punch, clear rhinestone brads, 1/16" hole punch, dimensionals, Circle Scissors Plus
I do have a video for you on how to use the Circle Scissors Plus.
Cardstock: Rich Razzleberry 115316 5.50, Very Vanilla 101650 7.50, Pumpkin Pie 105117 5.50
Extras: Vanilla Hodgepodge hardware 112454 on sale for $18.99, 1/16" punch 101227 8.95, 1 ¾' Circle Punch, Scallop Circle Punch, 1 1/4' Circle Punch, Rich Razzleberry Ribbon
Alrighty – on to the blog candy. If you enjoyed these cards, maybe you would like to have them for your very own. Here they are again:
Comment on this post. Include which card you like the best. Also, if there was any stampin' video that could be produced – what would it be featuring? The blog candy is open until next Monday, August 3 at 10 AM CST. At that time I will use some means to decide a winner. The winner will get these six cards in the mail.
Thanks for following along with me this past week. Keep checking back. This week will be full of fun posts as well. Remember my open house? Remember there were prizes? I will announce the winners!
Sorry this post is so late. I just got out of bed for the day :-). Last night was the Relay for Life event in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. It covers two counties – Lincoln and Minnehaha. This is the second year we have walked and stayed out there all night long. I don't vow to stay awake, though. But, I only slept for about 45 minutes. We walked for all of you that are dealing with or have dealt with the evil "c".
I have a couple of things to show you in the video today. How about that ribbon on the side? You like it? You see it in the new catalog here and there. I thought it looked pretty neat.
The third sample of Circle Circus. I am excited to share all of these with you. I am hoping you are enjoying the following along.
Again, today I have a video to share with you. This card again is a minimalist card – requires just a few supplies. If you are new to stamping, that is a good thing. Once you have bought everything J it isn't as big of a deal. Heehee. You know my site – www.sandyh.stampinup.net – order what you are missing :).
I hope you are having a great Thursday. It is on to a hostess club tonight with a HUGE ton of fun gals! I can't wait. I haven't even met all of them.
